THE DEATH ZONE

GC43JWJ

Mountaineers refer to the altitudes above 8,000 metres (26,000 ft) as the "death zone", where no human body can acclimatize. To log this cache you need to add up the elevation height of your 10 highest cache finds, the total needs to be equal to or more than 8,000 metres or 26,000 feet. Please list the qualifying caches, GC code, and dates found in your log. I will check every list to ensure the log is valid and any logs without a list of qualifying caches will be deleted, remember it's your top 10 highest found Caches. Event Caches, Earth Caches, Virtuals etc are allowed.

THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST

GC3X4GE

The Challenge This is a 1 day challenge meaning that you only have from Midnight – 11:59pm to find the required caches. Each cache type has a set value which is then multiplied by its D/T Value to give that cache a total value, so the harder the cache the more its worth and the quicker you finish the challenge. In order to claim this cache you must reach 666 Points exactly, No more, No Less, ie. the Number of the Beast.

200 - CHALLENGE CACHE
GC4D5ZX

Another A - Z challenge but a little harder. This one is based on finds of Unknown Caches, where the cache name begins with the letters A - Z and the overall D/T grading adding up to 200 or above.
1. 26 chosen caches starting with the letters A - Z.
2. Mystery/Puzzle/Unknown caches only (i.e a cache with a  logo. This is sometimes referred to as a Mystery Cache, Puzzle Cache or Unknown Cache and can include Challenge Caches.)
3. The total Difficulty and Terrain grading of your 26 chosen caches must equal or exceed 200.

e.g
W= WEREWOLF (GC1NH60) has a D/T rating of 5/5, this would give you 10 points (5+5=10).
I = Ickle Beastie of Scales (GC164E7) has a D/T rating of 2.5/4.5, this would give you 7 points (2.5+4.5=7).

10 x 5/5 CHALLENGE - "When we saw this cache published it brought back happy memories of our Team Extreme day out on 23rd June this year led by Daz when we logged our 10 5x5 caches and therefore we qualify for this one" - Bluewhitereg

THE DEATH ZONE -  "Well this is our sort of challenge! As soon as it was published I dismissed it, as I thought we would have no chance of qualifying. Instead we started to plan more adventures up hills, which is surely what Daz had in mind when he devised the challenge. But not for the first time this week I was wrong. We do qualify and all UK caches too! Scotland has done us proud." - The Gom Squad
