In addition to the monthly Brew With A View events there are a number of other events held annually by the Jurassic Parkinsons
TEAM EXTREME DAY OUT
A team day out grabbing as many 5/5's in a day as possible.
I figured that we stood more chance of successfully achieving 10 x 5/5's in a day if we were part of a team. The last 2 years have been successful trips, where both years we found the required 10 x 5/5's in a day. They have both been great days out with everyone contributing in some way or another, then finish the day with an event.

A Rememberence Sunday Event
This event will be held at the crash site of an American Super Fortress on Bleaklow on Rememberence Sunday. The local scouts and Royal British Legion hold their own event here every year.
CACHE N SPLASH
Raft building and raft race followed by a BBQ
With the permission of the Watersports Centre at Green Withens, an opportunity for an event with a difference and a bit of family fun. The day starts with a safety briefing, followed by Team Raft building. All barrels, wood, rope etc supplied. Raft Race around a series of Buoys. Life jackets, helmets and paddles supplied. Max 6 people per raft. BBQ and awards. Starts with an elite raft race between Yorkshire and Lancashire's A teams for the Merovingian Gold Cup. Then the family raft race followed by a BBQ.

SCRABBLE SCRAMBLE TEAM EVENT
Teams Scramble followed by a game of Scrabble
Teams of 3 or 4 have to visit as many of the 27 set sites as possible in the allocated 2 hours and to collect as many different Scrabble tiles as possible. Then back to base for an interesting game of Scrabble using the tiles obtained during the Scramble. Current UK champions are Bluewhitereg, Applepye and the Hulletteers. Lots of friendly banter followed by a Sop Supper (Hot beef sandwhich)
